This session focuses on intentional design, ensuring that every WBL experience is thoughtfully planned, aligned to learning objectives, and tailored to meet the developmental needs of students. Throughout the session participants will engage with the development of strategic documentation, processes, and procedures to improve or implement within their work-based learning program.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to design a structured and impactful WBL program
  • Understand how to onboard, train, and support learners effectively
  • Develop internship descriptions, project plans, assignments

  • Setting clear expectations and deliverables
  • Onboarding and orientation best practices
  • Effective mentorship and coaching strategies
  • Troubleshooting common challenges
