Engagement Activities and Learning Schedule

Step 1: Connect with Industry Talent Association Leads

Industry Talent Association (ITA) Leads will help identify employers and workplace supervisors who can benefit from the training, share program information, and engage employers in high-quality Indiana Career Apprenticeship Pathway (INCAP) program experiences. Find more information on the Indiana Career Apprenticeship Pathway (INCAP) website.

Step 2: Register for the Training

After connecting with the Industry Talent Association (ITA) Lead and confirming learner placement and employer participation, workplace supervisors will be asked to register for the training through an online registration portal. Registration will provide supervisors with access to program materials, training schedules, virtual session links, and credentialing information, ensuring they are fully prepared to participate in the training series and support their apprentices successfully.

Step 3: Attend the Virtual Training

Supervisors will participate in a live virtual orientation session to learn more about the training program, expectations, timeline, and available resources. The orientation provides an opportunity to connect with program staff, gain an overview of the training curriculum, and prepare for successful engagement throughout the supervisor training series.

Step 4: Complete Self-Paced Online Learning

Supervisors will receive access to the 360Learning platform, where they will complete self-paced online modules focused on apprenticeship program and work-based learning foundations, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements. Participants are expected to complete all online learning modules and assessments prior to attending the in-person training session to ensure they have the foundational knowledge needed for deeper discussion and skill development.

Step 5: Participate in the In-Person Training Session

Supervisors will attend a regional, instructor-led training session designed to build practical supervisory and mentoring skills for supporting apprentices. Through interactive discussions, real-world scenarios, and hands-on activities, participants will strengthen their coaching, communication, performance management, and problem-solving abilities while connecting with other employers and supervisors engaged in work-based learning.
